Giza is a city close to Egypt’s capital Cairo and is home to some of the country’s most iconic structures. The Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx are located here and reflect the greatness of the ancient Egyptian civilization.

Places to Visit:

Giza Pyramids: The pyramids of Cheops, Khafre and Mykerinos are the most well-known historical structures of Egypt.
Sphinx: One of the largest statues of ancient Egypt, the Sphinx stands guard in front of the pyramids.
Solar Boat Museum: Located next to the Cheops Pyramid, this museum exhibits the ships that the pharaohs used to travel to the afterlife in ancient Egypt.
Saqqara: The oldest pyramid in Egypt, the Pyramid of Djoser, is located here. One of the largest tombs of ancient times, Saqqara is another important historical site near Giza.
